Following our announcement we had made the shortlist back in July, Aire Logic and Leeds Community Healthcare Trust were delighted to be highly commended in the non-clinical innovation category of the NHS Excellence in Supply Awards 2018.
The ceremony took place at the Midland Hotel, Manchester. The evening recognised private sector organisations working in partnership with the NHS across the North of England, helping health services to ‘do more for less.’
Our winning project was the implementation of a digital Functional Gut Disorder (FGD) form, supporting patients suffering with IBS. The form was designed and implemented using Aire Logic’s forms4health platform. It was created to replicate the data capture achieved via the paper form, whilst making it quicker, clearer and easier for patients to complete it in their own time, on their own devices.
The FGD eForm has been well-received by both staff and patients, and LCH are already realising the benefits of the project. The eForm saves clinicians around 20 minutes per appointment, allowing them to spend their time delivering more personalised, focused care to the patient. Patients using the eForm report being more involved in their care, and are being discharged from the service 50% quicker than patients not monitoring their condition in this way.
Gill Smith, Business Development Director at Aire Logic, said “It is fabulous that Leeds Community Trust Dietetics service has been recognised for their hard work and commitment to deliver digital transformation. We hope our partnership sees further patient groups benefit from the support forms4health can deliver.”
Mark Simpson, Project Support Officer at Leeds Community Healthcare Trusts said “We’re delighted to be highly commended at the EIS Awards. Everyone at Leeds Community Healthcare and the Dietetics team would like to thank Aire Logic for being such brilliant partners. Here’s to the next innovative idea!”
