Racing toward Europe’s and UK’s Strongest Woman with Holly
We caught up with Holly as she races toward Europe’s and UK’s Strongest Woman
Thought it would be good to catch up and share what has been happening since my last update.
I’m currently working on a vlog that will take you behind the scenes of my training as I prepare for Europe’s and UK’s Strongest Woman competitions so you can seewhat I have been getting up to and how I am preparing, and it is just great to give you an insight in to what I do and what is involved.
At the start of the year, I set myself clear goals: no back-to-back comps and to qualify for Europe’s. Well one massive box has been ticked as on the17th and 18th of this month, I will be competing at the York Barbarian in Europe’s Strongest Woman, and just a week later, on the 25th, I will be at UK’s Strongest Woman. These are not the easiest competitions, but I am beyond excited to step back into the spotlight.
Europe’s Strongest Woman will be live streamed via Official Strongman throughout the weekend, covering all the men’s and women’s categories. If you want to cheer me on, follow the action live or catch some of Europe’s best athletes going head-to-head then why not take a look.
Training has been intense, and I have been hitting PBs left, right, and centre. The Monster Dumbbell has become a favourite, and I have consistently hit 55kg over the past three weeks—just 5kg shy of the comp weight at 60kg. Fingers crossed that the adrenaline on the day helps me grind out at least one solid rep!
And later this year, there is a chance I will be pushing for a massive deadlift in a major competition stay tuned as the journey to pull 250kg starts now.
In the meantime, keep an eye out for the upcoming vlog, follow the socials for updates on Europe’s and UK Strongest Woman and let us see what kind of mayhem the next four weeks bring.
Forever grateful
